The rolling hills and mesas of Ahmanson Ranch and it's almost complete lack of development along with its close proximity to the San Fernando Valley make it the prime location for trail running. This 7-mile race is the perfect distance for newbie trail runners!
The Fool Moon 12/24 Hour Trail Runs will be held each year on the full moon weekend closest to April Fools' Day. The FMRs are on a natural trail loop course in Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area, Calabasas, CA. All events will begin at 9:00 AM. Awards and BBQ will follow the 12-hour event. Awards and Breakfast will follow the 24-hour event. The race course is a 1.81 mile loop on graded fire road with some unmaintained double track trail with unobstructed views of the San Fernando Valley!
Join us for the 11th Valley Crest Half Marathon, "The Friendliest Race in L.A."; a hilly mountain trail half-marathon on dirt Mulholland in the Santa Monica Mountains that treats runners to beautiful spring foliage and magnificent vistas of the San Fernando Valley. A RRCA State Championship Race makes this the perfect competition for the serious runner and is also "user friendly" enough to be a great first-timer trail run!
The challenging and popular Bulldog runs consist of two races - the 25K Trail Run and the 50K Trail Ultra Run, which are conducted simultaneously. Come run in the beautiful scenic Santa Monica Mountains recreational area beginning at our base camp in Malibu Creek State Park, Malibu California. The Bulldog is a RRCA Regional Championship Race for the 50K. This is the original "Bulldog Trail Run"; accept no imitations!
TWO WAYS TO TRAIN WITH THE ULTRALADIES!
(1) RUN WITH THE ULTRALADIES! We are primarily a women's running group, but also welcome UltraLadiesMen. We are especially supportive of our "newbie" ultra runners! UltraLadies training runs extend from April to August each year, to train for the Bulldog 50K as their first ultra running experience.
